A conference to review the ten-year development of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies'(VBSP) branch in Binh Duong province was held on April 2, in attendance of provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi.
Addressing the conference, Mr.Nhi spoke highly of the efforts by the management boards of VBSP’s branches at all levels, political-social organizations and saving groups across the province in helping needy people to get access to the Government’s preferential credit policies over the past time while suggesting them to continue well realizing tasks in the coming time.
He also conducted VBSP’s branch of the province, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, provincial Farmers’ Society, provincial Women’s Union…to regularly check and effectively implement credit policies to needy people.
Over the past 10 years, VBSP’s branch of the province disbursed more than VND1.8bln in loan for nearly 190,000 turns of households. This contributed to helping tens of thousands of poor households and policy beneficiary families step by step reach a sustainable poverty escape, etc.
On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam Veterans Association, the State Bank of Vietnam…also honored collectives and individuals for their excellent performance in disbursing the preferential credit programs of VBSP’s branch of the province in the 2003 and 2013 period.
