Phu Giao district’s War Invalids Association and its affiliates considered and disbursed VND43.38bln in loan for 3,192 households to develop homebased business, helping them rise up out of poverty over the past years.
Accordingly, the district’s War Invalids Association disbursed more than VND 3,53bln in mandated loan for 258 households. The association also provided VND15.61bln for 741 households from the loan support program for poor households and near-poor ones; more than VND9.44bln in loan for production for 365 households living in the difficult region. 598 households also got VND10.bln in loan from the student support program…
The association also mobilized companies and well-off farming households to give support on loans, production materials, nurslings…with a total value of more than VND8.63bln for poor ones. Upon the above loans, the number of poor households in the association as of late 2013 reduced to 319 or 3.1% of total.
