Early January 3, North Tan Uyen district’s Farmers’ Society held a conference to review its activities in 2016.
The district’s agricultural production in 2016 reached stable development. The district also gained encouraging results in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in association with urban rejuvenation. The lives of locals were improved a lot. Also in 2016, the society admitted additional 413 members, bringing the total number of members so far to 5,200; organized 36 training courses on cultivation and animal husbandry for more than 1,590 members; opened 7 vocational training courses for 174 members; mobilized more than VND9billion from many different sources to support 434 members in cultivation and animal husbandry; teamed up with relevant agencies to build and upgrade nearly 17 kilometers of rural roads, clear 5,7 kilometers of canals…
In 2017, the society will further strengthen its organization towards strong development; hold numerous activities on vocational consultancy and training for farmers; effectively carry out the emulation movement of “good farmers in production-business”…
On this occasion, the society also awarded the certificates of merit of provincial Farmers’ Society to 1 collective, 5 individuals; the certificates of merit of the district’s People’s Committee to 20 collectives, 30 individuals having excellent achievements in the local farmers’ movements in 2016.
