With the goal of creating breakthrough to promote the province's fast, modern and sustainable socio-economic development, Binh Duong has invested in building an Industrial - Service - Urban Complex, in which the foundation is industrial parks, high-end service areas and modern urban areas. The implementation of Industrial - Service - Urban Complex is considered a bold decision, showing a foresight, in which, Binh Duong new city with a scale of 1,000 hectares is the "nucleus" of a modern Binh Duong in the near future.
Strategic vision
By its successes in developing industrial zones, Binh Duong has been identified by the government as one of the nuclear localities of the southern key economic region. In order to continue promoting its advantages and creating a driving force for development, Binh Duong has decided to invest in building the Industrial - Service - Urban Complex, in which the foundation is to develop industrial parks, residential areas and high-end services with a total area of 4,196 hectares. In October 2004, construction of the Industrial - Service - Urban Complex started. Currently, the technical infrastructure system has been invested synchronously and completely. 6 industrial parks have been formed and put into operation. International high-class service area on 678 hectares has been implemented with a number of projects.
Traffic infrastructure of Binh Duong New City has been synchronously constructed with high connectivity
At the center of the Industrial - Servce - Urban Complex is a new city of Binh Duong projected in a scale of 1,000 hectares, whose construction started in 2010. This is the "brain and heart", the political - economic - cultural center of the province and is the nucleus of a modern Binh Duong in the near future. After more than 15 years, the deserted land has been "transformed" on every day basis, Binh Duong new city is gradually giving off a new vitality, commensurating with a full range of services and synchronous infrastructure system closely connected with neighboring provinces and cities.
Existing in the new city today is a concentrated Administrative Center, a Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, a park, a community sports center, and many more. Besides, Tokyu Binh Duong Garden Urban Area (Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City) is invested by Becamex Tokyu Company. High-tech Park of Mapletree Group (Singapore) where science, technology and modern business processes are being transferred to Vietnamese enterprises, serving high-tech and institutional businesses to trial and develop new products and produce value-added goods along with the presence of Eastern International University, Kinderworld Education Group, Ngo Thoi Nhiem School and Nguyen Khuyen School, World Trade Center, Food Service Area, and Becamex Hotel.
In addition, housing areas are built synchronously with rows of villas, townhouses, high-end commercial apartment complexes, social housing areas with financial utilities, offices for rent, hotels, restaurants, and so on, especially convenient public transport. Many commercial projects have been built now such as Rich Town, Uni Town, Green Pearl, Dong Do Dai Pho, Sora Gardens Binh Duong, Midori Park etc.
After many years of construction and development, up to now, Binh Duong new city has become a convergence place to attract intelligence and developing technology and play an important role in planning functional zones and facilities by appropriate solutions meeting international standards and promoting rapid urban development of the province in the period of wider integration. Binh Duong New City has also made an important contribution to the process of urban development of Thu Dau Mot as a grade I city directly under the province.
Synchronous and connected infrastructure
In order to realize the goal of making the new city a gateway to international connections in various fields, Binh Duong has focused on investing in building a synchronous infrastructure system to connect industrial areas to the capital city, inter-provincial connection, and inter-region connection. Many breakthrough routes to leverage development have been formed, namely, the routes My Phuoc - Tan Van and Pham Ngoc Thach. My Phuoc - Tan Van highway from Bau Bang district to National Highway 1A, passing Bau Bang, Ben Cat, Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An and Di An provinces plays an important role in connecting the new city and localities. This route helps to reduce traffic congestion on neighboring roads and significantly reduces transportation costs and time for businesses in the province and the Southeast.
Pham Ngoc Thach Street (the road to the Provincial Administration Center) going through Hiep Thanh and Phu My wards of Thu Dau Mot city, is built with 8 lanes. Technical infrastructure systems on both sides of the route such as telecommunications cables, electricity, water supply and drainage are designed underground. There is also a system of bus stations on the route, including signs, waiting rooms for the blind and disabled according to the standards of a modern and civilized city. Pham Ngoc Thach Street is an important project that is both a lifeline in the intra-provincial traffic system to create a resilience in connection with the regional traffic system and to integrate into the national traffic system.
Le Loi Street and Nguyen Van Linh Street are the main axis in the north-south direction, connecting the new city with industrial parks such as VSIP II, Dong An II, Song Than III, Dai Dang and neighboring industrial parks of My Phuoc III (Ben Cat town) and Nam Tan Uyen (Tan Uyen town). In addition, the route of Vo Van Kiet - Huynh Van Luy is the main axis in the east-west direction, connecting the new city with industrial parks such as Kim Huy, Song Than III and neighboring industrial parks of Nam Tan Uyen, connecting the new city with My Phuoc - Tan Van Highway and National Highway 13.
It is the connection of traffic routes in Binh Duong new city that not only facilitate vehicles to travel through the area and serves as a lever to develop the infrastructure of industrial parks in the new city, but also motivate to attract domestic and foreign enterprises to invest, creating momentum for economic development.
