Part 1: Initial results of a project beneficial to country and people
Binh Duong New City covering 1,000ha is considered as a ‘brain’ and ‘heart’ of Binh Duong Industry-Service-Urban Complex. After two years of construction, Binh Duong New City has so far fulfilled many key works, contributing to building up the image of a modern, dynamic and sustainable city.

Ratified by the Government to become a political - economic, cultural, social center of the entire province, Binh Duong New City consists of the following construction items:
-Political and administrative center, forming a new feature in the reform of administrative management system in order to more effectively serve the inhabitants.
-High-technology park
-Financial, banking and securities center
-Office for lease, restaurants and luxury hotels
-International convention and exhibition center, universities
-Community center: squares, parks, ecological lakes, cultural centers, kindergartens and hospitals.
-Technical infrastructure works: road, sewage, underground and communications system
Once completed, the modern and urban
center will serve more than 125,000 inhabitants and over 400,000 people working
here. According to provincial leaders, this is a key work in the renewal
period, meeting the aspiration of the local authorities and people and
contributing to helping Binh Duong become one of the centrally-controlled
municipalities in Vietnam
by 2020.
Many key works of Binh Duong New City, including Eastern International University, Kinderworld Education Group’s international school, Ngo Thoi Nhiem primary, secondary and high school, conference center, international standard sports center…, have been completed and put into operation. One of the new city’s important works is the Eastern International University invested by Becamex IDC with the goal of training a hi-quality human resources to cater for the province and Southern key economic zone’s socio-economic growth. Projects on real estate herein have also been fulfilled and handed over to clients.
Noticeably, Japan’s Tokyu Group has started construction of the US$1.2 bln Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City, the province's biggest urban project and the biggest FDI project, began construction in March 2012. Toshiaki Koshimura, CEO of Japan’s Tokyu Group said that with 60-year experience on urban development, his group will shorten the time of construction of the project, contributing to help Binh Duong New City become a civilized and modern urban center of Binh Duong.
Breakthrough from political-administration center
The important point of the new city lies in the provincial centralized political-administration center. Covering 20 hectares, the center is built with a modern and environmentally friendly design by CPG design group of Singapore. This is a breakthrough of the local authorities in administrative reform process toward a transparent and modern administration, spurring economic and int’l exchanges at the high level.
The phase I of provincial centralized political-administration center consists of the twin tower of 21 storeys and 2 basements for parking and 6 other different works for central agencies of from 4-5 storeys including guesthouse, 4-star international conference center,…with gross floor area of 243,000 sq.m. All works have modern designs to take full advantage of natural lighting system, energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
Noticeably, the center also includes a central building where is the working place of Party agencies, governments and public agencies of Binh Duong province such as Court, People’s Procuracy, Social Insurance, Customs Department, State Bank, State Treasury,…to create a complex connected with universities, hospitals, industrial parks, residential areas.
Possibly speaking, Binh Duong New City is a national work and is zoned methodically. It not only creates a new image for Binh Duong city in the future, but also creates a highlight for urban development of the Southern key economic zone, contributing to promoting the development of the zone. Once completed, it will be a modern urban center leading in the country and benefit the State and residents
