According to the statistics of the Department of Customs, up to now, there are about 800 import-export enterprises heavily affected by Covid-19 epidemic. In particular, most businesses have canceled orders, reduced production because of lack of raw materials, difficulties in transportation, reduced consumption markets ... Through grasping the situation from the beginning of the year, the Department of Customs Administration realized that import-export activities are under Influences from the impact of the epidemic, the US Department of Industry and Trade forecast that in the coming time, the import and export activities of some enterprises using raw materials or imported from countries affected by Covid-19 epidemic will still face many difficulties.
In Binh Duong, import and export activities are facing with difficulties for goods by road and air. Some importers from other countries also affected the chain ... The negative impact of the disease on enterprises has affected the overall import and export results of the province. Specifically, the export turnover was estimated at 5.8 billion US dollars, up 3.6%; import turnover is estimated at 4.2 billion US dollars, up 4.3% (in the 1st quarter of 2019 up 7.9%); maintain a trade surplus of US $ 1.6 billion.
According to the Department of Customs, most of enterprises having import and export activities are affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, leading to a decrease in import-export turnover. Some businesses currently have no signs of influence but in the future it is likely that the chain will be affected. Accordingly, some import and export items will decrease. In particular, the largest reduction is found in electronics, refrigeration, household electronics (mostly imported from China), hot rolled iron and steel, rolled steel, steel sheets and stainless steel (due to difficulties in consumption). ) ...
