Passenger transportation enterprises hustle to service Tet

Tet Holiday 2018 is in less than two months, prompting passenger transporters in Binh Duong Province to plann for their services during the holiday.

Early and promptly preparation

During Tet Holiday, quantity of passengers to provinces increase year on year. For this year, Dai Dong Den transportation enterprise in Thuan An Town has prepared over 100 vehicles to better service Tet Holiday 2018. Representative of the enterprise informed that it would offer 30% discount for early birds, helping to determine the actual needs and bargaining prices for passengers.

According to Quang Anh Grandtour of Binh Duong in Thu Dau Mot City, it has been expanding its pick-up to provinces. Accordingly, during Tet Holiday 2017, the enterprise services to all provinces and cities of the nation in its third year of expansion during Tet Holiday.

Investigation shows that  the peak needs shall be on  the 23rd through 29th of lunar December and the 6th through the 10th of lunar January when majority of passenger transporters in the province have made all-out preparation for the increasing demands during Tet Holiday. For years, ticket delivery and sales agents have been dispatched to industrial parks and residential areas with pick-up vehicles  to service passenger transportation needs.

According to Department of Transportation, during Tet, passenger transporters usually increase their fares by 20 to 60% from normal days, justifying by increased costs and services as well as amortization of new vehicles along with fuel prices.

To ensure sufficient vehicles for passengers

Vu Quang Thanh, the Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Transportation Association informed that majority of passenger transporters are hustling to prepare for increment of vehicles and trips for the upcoming Tet. Regarding passenger transportation within the province, some enterprises have been preparing for more buses to service traveling needs during Tet. For the time, the association has paid much attention to safe, professional, and polite services for passengers. Specifically, the association has coordinated to organize 5 training courses for nearly 250 drivers of local operating enterprises. At the training courses, the drivers have been educated with new regulations on sanctions of traffic breaches and passenger service skills.

Currently, nearly 1 million immigrant workers are residing in Binh Duong Province, making the traveling needs increased during Tet. Annually, passenger transporters in Binh Duong and from other provinces and cities intensify their services during Tet. For the years, thanks to good practice of transportation, those enterprises have offered earliest programs to service the passengers during Tet to ensure comprehensive and safe services.

Nguyen Chi Hieu, Deputy Director of Department of Transportation informed that the department is pending for specific plan of General Department of Road and passenger transporters to submit  registry of routes and quantity of vehicles servicing Tet 2018 so that the servicing plan should be in place to satisfy public needs during Tet. According to Hieu, Binh Duong is experienced with transportation of over-increasing passengers during Tet; thus, Tet 2018 should be no problem for them to offer sufficient vehicles to service passenger transportation before, during, and after Tet.
