According to Dang Bao Trung, Chairman of Phu Chanh communal Farmers’ Association, the emulation movement of “goods farmers in production-business” is the main one of the association. Through it, there are a lot of effective models, helping members increase their income for a more stable life…Duong Kim Dy’s model of breeding snakes and pythons is a typical example with the annual average income of VND300million. The vegetables-planting model of Nguyen Van Cung also brings him the annual average income of VND300million…
Actively supporting farmers
Over the past time, Phu Chanh communal Farmers’ Association well mobilized resources from good farming households at all levels to offer support in terms of capital, techniques, experience…to needy ones.
Particularly, during the past six years, good farming households in the commune supported 150 working days, VND225million, 852 nurslings, 465 breeding animals and more than 10 tons of fertilizer for needy ones. The communal Farmers’ Association also directly assisted 3 farming households to escape poverty; coordinated with relevant units to mobilize organizations and individuals to build 4 charity houses for members in need of housing with a total value of VND200million.
Mr.Trung said that over the past years, the communal Farmers’ Association strengthened a task of propagandizing and mobilizing members to get involved in collective economic models. So far, the association has developed 3 effective cooperative groups with 35 members. The association has also set support programs, projects on capital, sci-tech, vocational training…, helping members promote production, raise income and stabilize their lives.
