U.S. consumer goods producer
Procter & Gamble (P&G), on Nov.30, grandly held a groundbreaking
ceremony for the project to expand its Pampers diaper factory in the
Vietnam-Singapore II Industrial Park (photo), in attendance of provincial People’s
Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem and leaders of some sectors in the
province. 
Covering 19,500 sq.m, the expanded factory has a total investment capital of US$125mln. Once operational, it will absorb more than 200 workers. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Liem said: “P&G is the first foreign-invested company in Binh Duong awarded the third-class Labor Medal. This was showed by the company’s achievements done over the past years…”.
