As an agricultural district, Phu Giao has advantages for farmstead economic development. Over years, the locality-based agricultural economy has upheld high results, especially farmstead economy. Phu Giao has so far had about 17,900 ha of rubber, 53,000 pigs and over 86,000 poultries. Along with preferential policies from the local authority, farmstead economy herein is under stable development.

Farmsteads herein have paid attention to hi-technology in production. Many effective models of clean vegetable growing, mushroom and rubber growing, animal husbandry… have appeared across the locality.
Luring hi-tech projects
With such advantages, the district has been a promising land for establishment of hi-tech agriculture areas. At present, the locality has had 2 hi-tech agricultural areas of An Thai and Tan Hiep-Phuoc Sang.
The 411.75ha An Thai hi-tech agricultural area has put into good operation with modern facilities in line with Israel standards. Besides, the area has an automatic watering and fertilizer technology to plant clean and hi-grade vegetables.
The establishment of hi-tech agricultural areas has proven the locality’s advantages of climate and soil. Ngo Dinh Thanh, vice head of local economic department, said Phu Giao people hope to perfect the hi-tech areas to participate in hi-tech agricultural production.
Hi-tech agricultural production in the district is a proper way for local development. Farmers participating in the areas will enjoy basic interests of scientific advances.
