Agricultural Service Center of Phu Giao district has cooperated with the District Farmers Union to hold a workshop on the management and utilization of collective trademark "Phu Giao orange, pomelo". Nearly 100 people who are owners of farms, orchards growing oranges, pomelos in the district took part in the workshop.
At the seminar, farmers listened to and discussed with experts on the development, management, and utilization of collective agricultural trademarks around issues of building a model of manager and owner of collective trademark and user of collective trademark; skills in building and using collective trademarks, the relationship between the State, managers, and farmers. In addition, there are the roles of managers, owners and users of collective trademarks, legal procedures, and export. Farmers also learnt about the 5-sides' cooperative program in branding and collective-branded products, cultivation, and post-harvest preservation techniques for oranges and pomelos...
The workshop helped farmers of Phu Giao district to grasp knowledge and skills in forming, building a model of management, utilizing and efficiently using collective trademarks in order to build brand name, product value on the market, bringing the maximum profit for farmers.
