Over the past years, Phu Giao district’s Farmers’ Society and its branches actively implemented support policies for farmers in economic development, thereby helping the locality promote a variety of effective models.
Under the instruction of the local leaders on developing the locality into a hi-tech agricultural locality, over the past time, Phu Giao district’s Farmers’ Society actively carried out support policies for farmers, creating favorable conditions for them to get access to loans and sci-tech advancements; encouraged them to uphold the local potential in economic development…Thanks to the Party, State’s sound and timely policies plus the efforts by farmers, the district’s agricultural sector has been fostered towards high-tech models.
It is known that over the past five years, the district’s Farmers’ Society and its branches mobilized more than VND2.17billlion for the local Support Fund for Farmers. So far, the fund has reached more than VND17billion, providing loans for 605 farming households with 39 projects. The society also coordinated with the local transaction office of the Bank for Social Policies to disburse more than VND77billion in loan for 4,545 households; worked with the local branch of Agribank to consider and disburse more than VND1.22trillion in loan for nearly 5,639 households. In addition, the society mobilized district-based companies to sell agricultural materials for 3,800 farming households under the deferred payment with a total value of more than VND27billion; supplied 348 farming households with more than 1,090 tons of various fertilizer, 5 tons of pesticide, more than 27,000 nurslings…
Possibly speaking, thanks to the attention, support of the State plus the efforts by farmers, many effective models have been developed in the district. They include the green-skin pomelo model of Nguyen Van in Phuoc Hoa commune; the rockmelon model of Nguyen Van Cuong in An Binh commune; the “sac ran” fish (scientifically called “nandidae”) model of Phung Van Thuc in Tam Lap commune… Nguyen Van Cuong said he and other farmers in the district have enjoyed great happiness when being created favorable conditions to approach support policies in economic development by hi-tech agricultural models, contributing to generating safe agricultural products.
Trinh Duc Dung, Chairman of the district’s Farmers’ Society said that the society will further create advantageous conditions for farmers to get access to preferential loans; coordinate with relevant units to bring sci-tech advancements into production; support farmers to develop cooperative models, diversify potential sectors on cultivation, animal husbandry, processing…
