For the emulation movement getting high results, the district’s Farmers’ Society well realized the Party and State’s policies and guidelines on agriculture, rural development and farmers while actively giving support in terms of capital, materials, techniques…for farmers. During the past 6 months, the society coordinated with relevant units to consider and disburse more than VND15billion from the local Support Fund for Farmers for 609 farming households to develop 40 projects, over VND77billion from the local branch of the Bank for Social Policies for 4,545 households and more than VND1.22trillion for 5,629 farming households…
The district’s Farmers’ Society also mobilized companies, donors and well-off households to support capital, nurslings, breeding animals, working days…with a total value of more than VND27billion for more than 3,800 farming households; worked with fertilizer companies to supply nearly 350 farming households with approximately 1,100 tons of various fertilizer, 5 tons of pesticide and more than 27,000 nurslings. All encouraged the local farmers to actively foster hi-tech and clean agricultural models…, contributing to improving their income.
Helping farmers escape poverty
Nguyen Van Cuong residing in An Binh commune’s Ca Na hamlet in Phu Giao district said that thanks to the attention of the Party and State, many local farmers got access to preferential loans for agricultural production over the past time. This helped the local farmers develop hi-tech agricultural models, contributing to strongly changing their lives.
Over the past six months, the district had a total of 29,530 farming households to win the “good farmer in production-business” title at all levels. The district also discovered many role-models in production-businesses from the emulation movement. They included Nguyen Thi Hang’s model of breeding quails in Phuoc Sang commune; Nguyen Thanh Ha’s model of planting mokara orchids…
The emulation movement also helped more than 1,680 local farmers rise up out of poverty, created favorable conditions for rural laborers to get stable jobs and significantly contributed to the local economic development process.
