Phu Giao obtains stable growth in agricultural production

Phu Giao is an agricultural district with rubber as a main kind of cultivated crops together with development in terms of animal husbandry. Hence, market impacts greatly affect the local economic development, especially when rubber latex prices have not seen signs on recovery yet. But, with proper solutions of the local Party organizations and authorities at all levels, the district’s agricultural sector has still maintained stable growth and reached the set targets.

Particularly, the district’s agro-forestry production value over the past nine months reached over VND2.37trillion, or 66.78% of the year’s plan and up 7.7% compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Besides, the district organized 48 training courses on sci-tech transfer in cultivation and animal husbandry; 18 integrated pest management (IPM) points…

In comparison with last year’s same period, the district’s area for crops with diseases decreased sharply. There were only 262 hectares of rubber trees with diseases reported in the district. The district also well controlled over the situation of diseases in livestock with the rate of vaccination surpassing the set plan.

All these pigs were destroyed and their owner was also fined with VND3.5million.

The district will further promote the local agricultural sector for the rest of the year. Accordingly, the district will carry out a variety of breakthrough solutions in the process of agricultural development in particular and economic development in general. This aims to create the foundation for the district’s Party Committee, People’s Committee to set up development strategies in line with the local situation, step by step building up a new-style rural district with hi-tech agriculture in the future.
