For the local collective economy reaching development, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development must boost propaganda among locals, helping them being imbrued with the role of collective economy. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Steering Board of Collective Economic Development made the statement at a recent working session with the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development.
Stable income
In the first half of 2017, Phu Giao district established additional 2 cooperatives, bringing the total number of the local cooperatives so far to 7 with 3,024 members. Among the 7 cooperatives, there are 5 with revenue. The total revenue of the 5 cooperatives over the past six months was more than VND10.43billion. The average income of members reached between VND4million and VND10million per person per month. They also paid more than VND220million for State budget; generated regular jobs for 60 local laborers…

The district is now home to 29 linkage groups with 272 members and 4 cooperative groups with 73 members. Most of them mainly operate in the fields of agricultural services, animal husbandry and cultivation with the average income of households reaching between VND15million and VND20million per household per month.
From now till year-end, the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development will continue speeding up propaganda on the Party and State’s policies on collective economy while improving weak points of cooperatives for better development; boost a task of mobilizing and setting up new cooperatives; continue well applying support policies on collective economic development; upgrade cooperative groups into cooperatives towards sustainable development; strive to establish at least 2 cooperative groups and 2 cooperatives…
Upholding role of collective economy
Over the past time, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development well realized the province’s instructions on collective economy and drastically solved weak cooperatives.
Mr.Liem emphasized that collective economy plays a very important role and is one of pillars of economy, contributing to promoting the local economy. Hence, expanding collective economic models is necessary, but must associate with effective operation. Collective economy is an indispensable part of the country’s economy at present. That’s reason why the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development needs to gain constant innovation.
To realize the above-mentioned tasks, Mr.Liem asked for the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development to strengthen cooperatives and cooperative groups; accelerate propaganda on collective economy among people from all strata; replicate effective collective economic models…He also emphasized that the State must hold a main role in collecting favorable elements, mobilizing people to join efforts to form up effective and new cooperative models while mobilizing them to actively get involved in new economic models and share efforts in the local economic development.
