Industrial manufacture on growth
Since early this year, Phu Giao’s industrial manufacture has continued reaching a stable growth. The district’s production value of industry and small-scale industry over the past nine months was estimated at more than VND1.5trillion or 69.22% of the yearly plan, up 7.68% compared to the corresponding period of 2013.

Phu Giao district has also hastened construction of an industrial compound in Tam Lap commune’s Dong Tam hamlet, contributing to creating a motivation for the local industrial development. Nguyen Chau Long, Chairman of Tam Lap communal People’s Committee said that site clearance work at the industrial compound has been basically fulfilled. The communal People’s Committee has created favorable conditions for the completion of the industrial compound.
Once operational, the industrial compound will contribute to promoting activities in terms of the commune’s trade-services; create jobs for laborers in the commune and neighboring localities, thereby contributing to raising the local people’s income.
Trade-services on right track
Along with industry and small-scale industry, Phu Giao district has also taken fruits in trade and services. The district’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services in the first nine months of the year was estimated at more than VND1.7trillion, up 12.46% compared to the corresponding period of 2013. So far, there have been plentiful supplies of commodities in the district.
The district has also attached special importance to market control work and opportunely given punishment for wrong cases, contributing to promoting the local trade-services sector. In addition, the district has teamed up with relevant agencies to organize points selling goods with stabilized price, market-days of “bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas”…
Nguyen Van Long, Vice-Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that the district’s fields of industry, small-scale industry and trade-services have moved in the right direction and reached great results. This achievement has came from the efforts by the local authorities at all levels in seriously implementing measure groups on economic development.
The district’s People’s Committee has also required sectors and localities to continue seriously carrying out the resolutions of the People’s Committees of the province and the district on 2014’s socio-economic development tasks…All have helped the district’s economy develop in the right direction.
Mr.Long affirms: “The district’s industry, small-scale industry and trade-services have reached a stable growth. And with support policies plus existing potentials, these fields will make contributions to the district’s development”. Also to him, from now till year-end, the district’s People’s Committee will strive to fulfill the local targets on socio-economic development in 2014. Accordingly, along with incentive policies, the district’s People’s Committee will focus on well realizing market control work, stabilizing goods price while hastening the progress of construction of the industrial compound in Tam Lap commune’s Dong Tam hamlet…
