Phu Giao sets up additional 48 farmsteads and 2 cooperatives

*Average income per capita reaches VND30.8mln a year

In 2013, Phu Giao district established additional 48 farmsteads, including 7 perennial trees-growing farmsteads and 41 animal husbandry ones. The figure has brought the total number of district-based farmsteads in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development so far to 363. Among them, there are perennial trees-growing farmsteads and 147 animal husbandry ones with a total area of more than 4,480 hectares. They now use more than 2,340 laborers and reach a total annual revenue of more than VND580bln with VND1.6bln for each farmstead.

The district also set up additional 2 cooperatives, lifting the total number of cooperatives herein so far up 7. Among them, there are 5 cooperatives on agricultural production, 1 cooperative on woodwork processing and 1 people’s credit fund. But, 2 out of the above 5 cooperatives on agricultural production stopped operation. With 6,100 members, Phuoc Hoa People’s Credit Fund now operates very stably with more than VND300bln in operational capital, more than VND4.1bln in chaptered capital; offers stable jobs for 27 laborers with the average income of VND10mln per capita per month. In the first 10 months of 2013, it secured more than VND7.7bln in profit.

*In 2013, Phu Giao district’s average income per capita reached VND30.8mln, up VND3.7mln compared to 2012. The district’s economic growth gained 12.53%. Economic structure was shifted with agriculture-forestry of 42.1%, down 0.9%; industrial manufacture of 31.1%, up 0.3% and trade-services of 26.8%, up 0.6% compared to 2012.

The district’s value of agricultural and forestry production was estimated at more than VND3trillion, up 5.57% compared to 2012. Industrial production value gained more than VND1.95trillion. Total State budget collection was estimated at more than VND153.6bln or 101% of the estimate allocated by the province and 100% of the year’s plan. The ratio of poor households reduced to 2.68% of total population…
