Phu Giao spends over VND 977 billion on supporting farmers in economic development

Over the past three years from 2021 to 2023, Phu Giao district’s Farmers' Associations at all levels coordinated with relevant units to review and disburse more than VND 977 billion in loan from many sources for 6,459 farming households for homebased economic development.

Accordingly, the district’s Farmers' Associations at all levels coordinated with the district-based branch of the Bank for Social Policies to disburse nearly VND 171.66 billion for 3,465 households and worked with the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank to provide more than VND 805.673 billion in loan for 2,652 households for agricultural production purposes...Additionally, the district’s Farmers' Associations at all levels supported farmers in accessing preferential loans to encourage agricultural development towards urban agriculture and high-tech agriculture as well as loans from the Science and Technology fund and the Cooperative Alliance Development Support Fund, with hundreds of billions of dong in total.

Thanks to these loans supported by the district’s Farmers' Associations, 16 farming households in the district escaped poverty in a sustainable way over the past three years.
