Phu Giao district’s economy last year maintained stable growth with many targets fulfilled. Since early this year, the district has continued reaching growth. This will create momentum for the district to complete the year’s plan.
In the first two months of 2017, Phu Giao district’s economy continued obtaining stable growth. The district’s production value of industry and home industry was more than VND381billion. Whilst, the district’s trade-services were also stable with ample patterns at locals’ needs.

In addition, the district’s People’s Committee instructed inter-sectoral inspection delegations to make inspection tours of business registration, banned goods…, thereby discovering 20 wrong cases. The district’s State budget collection also reached more than VND34.63billion or 85% of estimates of the year’s Q1.
The district’s agricultural production also got stable growth. The local functional agencies also strengthened inspection to opportunely find out and solve epidemic diseases if any.
Upholding achievements in 2016 and in the first months of 2017, the district continues boosting the implementation of action programs for the Resolution of the district’s 4th Party congress, especially breakthrough ones. Accordingly, in 2017, the district will maintain stable growth; continue reforming administrative procedures, creating a favorable climate to absorb investment projects in association with effectively controlling over natural resources and protecting the environment. The district will also pay attention to well realizing social issues, contributing to enhancing locals’ lives…
This year, the district has set targets of increasing its agro-forestry-fisheries production value by 5.5%-6.5%, industrial manufacture by 12%-14%, total retail sales of commodities and services by 20%-22%; reaching more than VND196.8billion in State budget collection; reducing the rate of poor households under the province’s poverty line to 0.3%-0.5%; having 1 or 2 communes reaching criteria of the new rural construction program.
To fulfill the above targets, the district’s People’s Committee has put forward some key solutions, including setting up a plan on realizing agriculture and rural development in association with ecotourism for the period of 2016-2020; making the shift of agriculture towards hi-tech models in association with processing for the period of 2016-2020; promoting animal husbandry under the trend of modern industry.
Especially, the district will attach special importance to tightening control over tax revenues; realize sustainable poverty reduction under the province’s multi-dimensional poverty line, create the best conditions for locals to get access to basic social services…
