Since early this year, Phu Giao district’s economy has continued getting thriving. The local people have also further implemented hi-tech agricultural models.
Good results
In the first nine months of 2019, Phu Giao district’s industrial and home industrial production value reached more than VND2.75trillion, a year-on-year increase of 6.51%. For agricultural production, there was a stable growth in terms of various plants.

The district’s Farmers’ Association also carried out 6 points on integrated pest management (IPM), 3 classes against pestilent insects, 3 classes on growing safe vegetables and 1 net-house model on growing safe vegetables of 500 square meters in Vinh Hoa commune. In addition, the district fulfilled its plan on vaccination in poultry and cattle; well realized quarantine on animals and their products; implemented a program on planting green trees for the period of 2018-2019 with 7,432 green trees from 1 to 3 years old supplied or 67.06% of the plan.
Over the past 8 months, the district’s State budget collection was estimated at more than VND174.64billion or 64% of the year’s plan or 54% of the year’s plan while State budget spending was more than VND442.3billion or 45% of the year’s plan.
Further strengthening new rural construction
Phu giao district has actively realized the national target program on new rural construction. Since early this year, the district’s People’s Committee has coordinated with provincial Co-ordination Office on New Rural Construction to make inspection tours of 8 new rural communes. All the 8 communes have maintained criteria of the new rural construction program. The district has also fulfilled procedures asking for provincial People’s Committee to recognize Phuoc Hoa and An Binh communes as new rural ones in 2018.
The district carried out basic construction projects over the past time, reshaping the local rural image. The district’s total capital for basic construction over the past nine months was more than VND79.1billion or 61.2% of the year’s plan…The district are also carrying out 13 works, including those of Ben Tang bridge, Phuoc Vinh B primary school, Phuoc Sang primary school, DH512 street…and prepares for the construction of streets, namely DH517, DH518, DH519…
In the coming time, the district’s People’s Committee will continue instructing sectors and localities to implement the Plan No.10/KH-UBND on cleaning up streets, headquarters and schools; planting green trees and flowers along the two sides of streets, at headquarters and school gates. So far, the whole district has had more than 70 out of 103 streets with flowers planted.
