Phu Giao’s economy further reaches a stable growth

In the first three months of 2014, Phu Giao district’s economy continued reaching a stable development.

The district’s production value of industry and home industry reached more than VND518bln, up 12.2% compared to 2013 or 23.65% of the year’s plan. Total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was VND627bln, up 19.43% compared to 2013. Total State collection achieved more than VND34.9bln or 19% of the estimate of the district’s People’s Council.

During the period, the district further saw a stable growth in agricultural production with a total of 211,000 livestock and poultry. Poultry and livestock diseases were tightened closely by the local functional agencies. The district also well realized policies on social welfare with more than 7,580 needy people enjoyed more than VND6.3bln in allowance; helped nearly 200 households get more than VND4bln in loan; excelled at the fields of education, culture, health, national defence and security.

In Q2 2014, the People’s Committee of Phu Giao district will focus on some main tasks, including seriously taking measure groups to instruct the implementation of socio-economic development plans; partially summing up the three-year implementation of the national target program on new rural construction; approving a plan for land use till 2020 and a plan for land use in the period of 2011 and 2015; taking measures against forest fire in the dry season; boosting smuggling prevention; further implementing price stabilization programs; concentrating on improving the quality of education…
