Since early this year, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee has focused on directing the realization of the Plan No.445 of provincial People’s Committee on the Government’s Resolution No.01 regarding major tasks, solutions for the socio-economic development plan in 2017. With appropriate policies plus efforts by the State and people, the district’s economy over the past seven years continued reaping good results.
Good change in agriculture
Phu Giao district’s agro-forestry production value over the past seven years reached nearly VND1.5trillion. The proportion of cultivation accounted for 70.8% of the local economic structure while animal husbandry occupied 29.2%.
The district’s total area for various plants during the period got more than 39,340 hectares, up 240.86 hectares compared to the same period of 2016.
For animal husbandry, the district continued gaining stable development with control over epidemic diseases in poultry and livestock well implemented. The district’s total livestock and poultry herd now amounts to more than 2.3million heads. Over the past seven years, the district’s Animal Health Station fulfilled the first stage of vaccination on livestock and poultry with 322,390 dozes of vaccines while organizing the first detoxification program of 2017 for 5,685 breeding households or 99.7% of the year’s plan.
Progress of construction works hastened
The district’s industrial and home industrial production value over the past 7 months was estimated at more than VND1.52trillion. Whilst, the district’s total retail sales revenue of services and commodities was estimated at more than VND1.7trillion.
In terms of market control, the district continued strengthening inspection and handled 20 wrong cases. The district’s Vinh Hoa was also recognized as a new-style rural commune by provincial People’s Committee, bringing the total number of such communes herein to 8.
Additionally, the district deployed construction of 6 basic construction works; forwarded construction procedures for 6 others; made compensation for the work of building An Binh market.
