According to the district’s functional agencies, the above result has come from the efforts by the local farmers in growing new varieties with hi-economic efficiency. Applying the state-of-the-art equipment and machines into production has also helped them reduce production costs…, thereby getting more conditions for production expansion.

The district’s animal husbandry sector has also step by step developed under the disease-free trend with industrial and semi-industrial models, bringing breeders hi-economic efficiency. The whole district now has a total of more than 1.67 million heads of cattle and poultry. The district’s Veterinary Station has tightened control over the local animal husbandry, so there has been no report on diseases in cattle and poultry since early this year.

Whilst, the district’s industrial production value in the first four months of 2017 achieved VND702.4billion, up 14.3% compared to the corresponding period last year. The district’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was estimated at more than VND1.01trillion, up 19.34% against the same period last year. The district’s market control sector in collaboration with relevant agencies made 29 inspection tours, thereby discovering 20 wrong cases.

In terms of basic construction, the district carried out a survey on 2 areas for the establishment of industrial compounds in Tam Lap and Phuoc Hoa communes while fulfilling a project on upgrading 1/5 street. The district is constructing Ben Tang bridge, 4 classrooms at Phuoc Sang preschool…

According to the district’s People’s Committee, the district’s value of industry-home industry production in the first months of 2018 reached high growth. Doan Van Dong, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that the district’s People’s Committee will continue instructing sectors and localities to recheck and assess the results of implementation of the set tasks in order to have timely solutions on socio-economic development; approve a plan on agro-forestry and fishery development to 2025 and vision to 2030.

The district will also further perfect and approve a detailed plan on the realization of action programs on agricultural development and new rural construction in association with ecological tourism for the period of 2016-2020; a program on industry-home industry development between 2016 and 2020. In addition, leaders of the district’s People’s Committee will conduct the local functional agencies to inspect the situation of diseases in plants and animals; instruct localities, relevant agencies to disburse preferential loans and create the best favorable conditions for people to get access to them for economic development.
