Under the Resolution of the local Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, Phu Giao district’s Farmers’ Society and its branches have made efforts to research and apply sci-tech advancements into production, developing hi-tech agricultural models.
Phu Giao is now home to U&I Agricultural Joint Stock Company’s An Thai hi-tech agricultural park of 411.75 hectares in An Thai commune and Binh Duong Sugar Joint Stock Company’s hi-tech milk cow farm of 471 hectares in Tan Hiep and Phuoc Sang communes. They have actively contributed to the local development.

The local farmers have also bravely applied sci-tech advancements into production, thereby forming up effective models on animal husbandry. In terms of cultivation, the district now has a lot of models with net-house, automatic spraying application under Vietgap standards. The local farmers have also gradually switched to concentrated breeding models with large scale towards goods production, veterinary hygiene and food safety.
Nguyen Ngoc Diep, residing in Phuoc Vinh township’s quarter 5 has successfully developed a hi-tech based orchid-growing model. She said that after 4 years of developing this model, she has so far owned an over 8,000 sq.m orchid garden with the annual revenue of billions of dong.
In 2015, the family of Nguyen Van Cuong in An Binh commune’s Ca Na hamlet spent VND500million on developing a hi-tech based rockmelon growing model. After three-year development, the model has brought hi-economic efficiency with the annual revenue of billions of dong. Noticeably, Kim Long hi-tech agricultural cooperative has set up from his reckmelon growing model with rockmelons as its main products…
To further promote the local clean agriculture, To Van Dat, Vice-Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that the district’s People’s Committee has made a plan and will set up a chain system for the local agricultural products for better consumption and production.
The district will also continue implementing some effective models, including those of growing orchids, rockmelons, oranges, tangerines and raising fish along Be river; make the overall planning of agro-forestry and fishery areas; create favorable conditions for the local farmers to foster cultivation and animal husbandry models under VietGap standards…
