Defining that industrial manufacture is a major motivation for breakthrough in socio-economic development, Phu Giao district has mobilized resources to promote this field. With good preparation, the district’s industrial production will continue being promoted in the coming time.
Industrial development
According to the district’s People’s Committee, the district’s industrial production has gained considerable development with the annual growth of 12.85% in the period of 2015-2020. The district’s industrial production value as of late 2020 will be more than VND4trillion, 1.8 times higher than 2015.

The whole district is now home to 500 companies in processing of agricultural products and food, mineral exploitation, building material production…with good business, significantly contributing to the local State budget.
To absorb more investors, the district has focused on building infrastructure facilities of industrial compounds under the plan; regularly organized dialogues between leaders of the district, relevant sectors and investors in order to opportunely remove difficulties in the process of carrying out the State’s policies and laws.
The district has also bent on creating the local favorable investment climate. Upon this, the district in 2019 alone had additional 65 newly-established enterprises with a total registered capital of more than VND230billion. The district has so far lured more than 370 enterprises with a total registered capital of more than VND1.56trillion.
In addition, district-based industrial compounds have reached many positive results in investment attraction. Tam Lap 1 industrial compound has lured a project on making car tires for export. Tran Thanh Minh, Head of the Electric Mechanism Department of the car tire-making factory under Hung Hai Thinh Joint Stock Company said that the factory can generate 900,000 tires per year for the phase 1. The figure will be 1.8 million tires per year for the phase 2 and 4 million tires per year for the phase 4. The factory is expected to be put into operation in early 2020…
Infrastructure investment promoted
Tam Lap 1 industrial compound is perfecting its infrastructure system for the phase 1. Its phase 2 will be implemented in Q1 2021. Along with Tam Lap 1 industrial compound of more than 60 hectares, the district is also home to Tam Lap 2 industrial compound of over 52 hectares, Phuoc Hoa industrial compound of more than 70 hectares, Tam Lap 3 industrial compound of more than 70 hectares and Tam Lap 4 industrial compound of nearly 51 hectares.
Under provincial adjustment on land use plan till 2020 approved by the Government, the district has zoned Vinh Lap industrial park of 500 hectares. To Van Dat, Vice-Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that along with perfecting infrastructure facilities of industrial compounds, the district has strengthened socio-technical infrastructure development…, facilitating people and enterprises’ economic development.
So far, the whole district has had nearly 800 streets of approximately 1,000 km. Among them, there are 27 out of 28 urban streets covered by asphalt and concrete. Most streets from the center of the district to communes have been covered by asphalt so far. Especially, after being upgraded, DT741 street has connected districts of Binh Phuoc province with central Highlands provinces through the central area of the district.
The district has actively coordinated with sectors, departments in the province to hasten the progress of construction of key traffic works such as main streets of North Tan Uyen-Phu Giao-Bau Bang, Phu Giao-Dong Phu…After being completed, these works will create advantageous conditions for socio-economic development of the district in general and industrial development of the district in particular.
Together with infrastructure development, the district has continued making administrative reform; set up a coordination mechanism between State agencies to support enterprises to implement their investment projects after being licensed; boosted human resource training at enterprises’ requirements; concentrated on developing some major services to serve the local industrial development…
With the province’s policy on industrial development in the northern region, along with good preparation in terms of infrastructure development, it is believed that the district’s industrial manufacture will obtain greater strides in the coming time.
