Phu Giao’s sector of industry-trade further reaches high growth

Over the past time, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee promulgated the Action Program No.22a on home industrial and industrial development, aiming to promote the local industrial, trade-service sector. The district’s People’s Committee also instructed functional agencies to set up plans and take solutions to foster this sector.

The district has so far formed up some home industry and industry groups on food processing, mineral exploitation, building material manufacture, woodwork processing with small and medium scale. The whole district is now home to 5 industrial compounds, including Tan Lap 1 industrial compound with a semi-steel radial tyre factory that is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2019 for the phase 1.

In addition, the district has fulfilled a plan on market network for new-style rural communes. The district now has 5 markets in operation, meeting the local people’s demand for shopping. Some communes, namely An Binh, An Thai, Phuoc Sang, Tan Hiep…, have also formed up temporary markets, catering the local people’s demand for goods exchange and creating favorable conditions for them to get access to more goods resources.

The district has also continued paying attention to industrial encouragement, thereby helping the local business-production facilities surmount difficulties, boost sci-tech application for better development.

With the above efforts, the district’s industry-trade sector over the past time made contributions to the local economic development. In the first half of 2019 alone, the district’s home industrial, industrial production value was estimated at more than VND1.61trillion, up 9.4% while total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND2.61trillion, representing a 16.78% increase compared to the same period last year.

In terms of market control, the district’s functional forces over the past six months made inspection tours at 58 business-production facilities, thereby detecting 23 wrong cases with total fine of VND26billion.

Dong Van Dong, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that over the past time, the district’s industrial manufacture, trade-services made great contributions to the local economy. This was also the motivation for the district’s economy to gain stable growth in the face of huge impacts from epidemic diseases in crop plants and domestic animals, bad weather…From now till year-end, the district will continue facilitating the development of the local home industrial, industrial manufacture, trade and services…

Reportedly, the district over the past six months absorbed 34 newly-established enterprises, bringing the total number of enterprises herein to 390 capitalized at more than VND1.86trillion. There were also 192 business registration certificates granted with total registered capital of VND82.47trillion…
