Phu Long Bridge inaugurated to celebrate the spring and Party leadership

By witnesses of leaders from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province, the Urban Traffic Management Zone No. 3 under Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport held a ceremony to inaugurate and officially open Phu Long Bridge to public traffic connecting Ha Huy Giap Street (in District 12, HCMC) to Lai Thieu Ward (Thuan An Town, Binh Duong Province). The bridge is 950 meters long 26 meters wide with body of 597.4 meters and two leading spans of 352.6 meters. The lanes are designed as two parallel bridges, enabling vehicles to reach high speed of 80 km/h. Total cost was at VND 688 billion which was extracted from budget of HCMC and Thuan An Town.

At the ceremony, organizer praised up over 20 collectives and individuals for excellent achievements contributing to the bridge completion.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tin – Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee, asserted that the operating bridge would bring about great economic benefits by shortening transportation from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong, to other provinces and vice versa.
