Production maintained
According to the company directorate, since the start of this year the company faces many obstacles, owing to decrease in rubber latex price on the world market. Meanwhile, many rubber plantations suffer corynespora disease, impacting badly on rubber latex productivity.
Therefore, some laborers quitted their job and more than 700 others asked for suspending jobs for 3 months. The company paid more than VND23bil to job leave fee.
Facing constant difficulties, the company leaders set out plans to stabilize production and business. Accordingly, aside from encouraging laborers to maintain working spirit, the company issues many measures to increase rubber plantations’ productivity.
In addition, the company suspends to purchase equipment and invest in unnecessary basic construction works.
Besides, the company strengthens thrift in production materials to cut down production price and stops unnecessary projects. In terms of output, since the start of this year the company exploits 14,245 tons of latex, winning 77% of the set plan for this year. It is expected that the company will surpass 5% of its plan with about 1,000 tons of latex. Meanwhile, latex purchase output also jumps with 9,200 tons of latex. Expectedly, in the year of 2014 the company gains more than 12,000 tons of latex. As of the end of Oct. 2014, the company sold 24,560 tons of latex with the average price of VND41mil per ton, reaching turnover of more than VND1,014bil.
Nguyen Phi Hung, general director of Phuoc Hoa Rubber JSC said “Despite difficulties, we remains keeping productivity of 2 tons per ha and plan on production and business. Profit of latex consumption in this year is estimated about VND70bil. This is achievement of efforts from cadres, employees and laborers over the past years”.
Laborers’ life stabilized
Thanks to maintenance of production and business, Phuoc Hoa rubber company ensures balance of expenditure and collection, timely paying wage and bonus for laborers. Till the end of the third quarter of this year, the company paid more than VND115bil to the State budget. This is an encouraging figure amid the common difficulty of economy.
In order to maintain production and business, the company directorate continues to adjust latex purchase price flexibly. Moreover, the company well implements latex purchase at factories and plants and pushes up inspection at plantations to ensure efficiency of the company and interests of clients.
As a result, the company ensures wage payment for more than 5,300 laborers with the average income of over VND7mil per capita per month, equaling about 93.9% compared with the same period last year.
This is a great effort of the entire cadres and laborers in the company and it is considered as an important impetus for the company directorate to excel its key goals from now till the end of this year.
