At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truc, Director of Department of Planning and Investment, said Binh Duong's planning implementation plan for the period of 2021-2030, vision to 2050 to concretize the implementation steps. the work of provincial planning for all levels and branches to participate in building planning components integrated into provincial planning; ensure the leadership of the Provincial People's Committee in the planning of the province in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Planning of Binh Duong province in the period of 2021-2030, vision to 2050 is tasked to guide the development, arrangement of space, allocation of resources for socio-economic activities, national defense - security, environmental protection schools at provincial and inter-district levels and orientations to be arranged in district-level localities.
Creating momentum for economic growth
On June 11, 2014, the Prime Minister issued a Decision approving the adjustment of the Master Plan on socio-economic development of Binh Duong province up to 2020, supplementing the plan to 2025. Accordingly , the highlight of this decision is that Binh Duong has achieved high economic growth and sustainable development, on the basis of strong economic restructuring, urbanization and high-tech development; quickly associate with the economic and social infrastructure system in the Southeast region, the southern key economic region; ensure political security, social order, protect the ecological environment effectively.
With the goal of building Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city, becoming one of the socio-economic development cities of the southern key economic region, with great spillover and strong impact. to neighboring provinces and regions. The province's industry will develop in the direction of diversifying products, applying high technology, clean industry, environmentally friendly, high localization rate, less labor-intensive; modern commercial - service infrastructure.
Up to now, most of the province's major socio-economic targets have been achieved and exceeded the plan, thus creating a resilience for the sustainable development of Binh Duong. For 3 years (2016-2018) implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress tenure 2015-2020, the total investment capital for social development of the province increased on average 11.9% / year.
Particularly from the beginning of the year, the province's industrial production index increased by 8.22%; export turnover reached US $ 17,534 billion, up 13.1% over the same period last year. The structure of export goods of the province has been shifted towards increasing the proportion of processed industrial goods, in line with the roadmap for the implementation of the objectives of the provincial commodity import and export strategy. Notably, the province's key export products continue to maintain high growth rates, and develop many new export items belonging to technology groups such as mobile phones, computers and electronic equipment, high quality agricultural products.
Regarding investment attraction, in the 2016-2018 period, the province attracted US $ 5,911 billion, reaching 84.4% of the 5-year plan (2016-2020); The average size of a project is 10.5 million USD. Only from the beginning of the year until now, the province has attracted nearly 40,440 billion dong of domestic investment and 1.942 billion USD of foreign investment, up 74% over the same period last year. Up to now, foreign investment capital in the province has reached over 34 billion USD.
Create an urban development platform
In adjusting the master plan on socio-economic development of Binh Duong province to 2020, supplementing the plan to 2025, the province has adjusted and supplemented urban development. Specifically, the province built urban areas in the direction of new, civilized, modern and green urban centers.
In recent years, the province has focused on the construction planning and urban architecture, the results have been well implemented, in accordance with regulations, contributing to the foundation of urban development and economic development efficiency. The good implementation of this work has made an important contribution to making Binh Duong a development center in the southern key economic region. Besides, the Binh Duong urban construction general planning project to 2020, vision to 2030 and the adjusted adjusted general construction planning of Thu Dau Mot urban area till 2020 create a prerequisite for development orientation of Binh Duong urban development.
