In the afternoon of January 11, at Provincial Administrative Center, Tran Thanh Liem, the Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee cum Head of power safety and saving, chaired a conference summing up the activities in 2017 of the Steering board of safety corridor of high voltage construction grid in the province and the Board of power saving.
In 2017, the coordination of inspection and handling of violations of high-voltage grid safety corridors has been paid attention to by all levels, branches and people's committees of districts, towns and Thu Dau Mot City to protect the safety of high-voltage power grid works and safely use for local people in various formalities. During the year, there were 45 cases of violating the safety corridor of the high voltage grid. Up to now, 31 cases have been processed with specific measures such as moving and wrapping the power grid, dismantling the roof covering the distance, lowering the billboard, clearing the high-risk trees near electric grid and so on. The whole province eyed 5 electric accidents causing 3 injured and 3 dead.
Electricity saving results in 2017 in the province reached over 211 million kWh, exceeding 40% of the plan. This result is thanks to the Binh Duong Power Company’s efforts to implement solutions to reduce power losses in the distribution of electricity such as renovating, upgrading the line, shortening the power supply radius, replacing the old transformer station ...
Speaking at the conference's conclusion, Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Liem requested the Steering Committee for the protection of the provincial high voltage power grid to increase propaganda; To work out plans on inspection and inspection, resolutely handle violations and overcome incidents in the safety corridors of high-voltage power grids. Regarding electricity saving, it is necessary to review the registration of electricity use by administrative agencies and public non-business units, building a power saving plan in 2018 with well-managed public lighting system.
On this occasion, the Department of Industry and Trade awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals with excellent achievements in electric safety work and 7 collectives and 7 individuals with excellent achievements in power saving work in 2017.
