On the morning of July 18, Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee, chaired the first conference on “Three houses” (State, entrepreneurs, schools) - Binh Duong Smart City.
Attending the conference, Binh Duong had Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Chief Executive of Smart City Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of Board of Directors, CEO of Becamex IDC; and leaders of departments. On our partner side, Brainport Eindhoven, Peter Portheine, Member of North-Brabant Regional Council; Antonionio Espada, General Manager of Philips Lighting Company attended the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Peter introduced generally Binh Duong Smart City project with “Three houses” model and Binh Duong plan for 2016-2020 with 4 main areas, including improving the quality of human resources; modern civilized urban planning; developing high knowledge services in high-tech zones; introduction of semiconductor and proposal for a back-end feasibility study for the hi-tech semiconductor industry in Binh Duong. Representatives of Eastern International University and Philips Lighting introduced intelligent smart lighting labs.

The conference also discussed new laboratories, the expansion of hi-tech industries in Binh Duong. At the same time, members and parties shared their visions, ideas and suggestions to develop Binh Duong Smart City project.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem said, " Binh Duong Smart City project is about new values of the regional and global economy in the 21st century. We place people and knowledge at the center, take smart collaboration links as the guideline for growth towards a higher value-added economy, high-tech manufacturing, high gray matter services, dynamic, creative, flexible business environment with adaptability to transformations of the world.
Mr. Tran Thanh Liem emphasized that the project focused on the development of education and scientific research system to create the best conditions to start-ups, attract and connect more high-tech enterprises, stimulating investment portfolios of the province, at the same time creating and applying scientific and technological advancements to create more comfortable and modern civilized residential areas for people and new businesses. Orientations and spirit of the project has gone deeply into action programs, development plans of provincial agencies. Binh Duong province is implementing reforms towards people and enterprises. The application of “three houses” model is one of the most important platforms. He believed that ideas and opinions of members, partners and units would contribute significantly to the development of the Binh Duong Smart City project, which is contributing to the prosperity and better life of Binh Duong people.
