At the People's Committee of Phu Giao district, Mr. Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, listened to the district People's Committee’s reports on the preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road. Namely, up to now, the district has fully prepared material facilities and is ready to hold the inauguration ceremony well.

Previously, Mr. Dung and the provincial delegation surveyed the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road. The Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road project has a total length of nearly 48km, a scale of 6 lanes, a maximum design speed of 80km/h, a total investment of over 3,800 billion VND, passing through the districts of Bac Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Bau Bang. This route is invested with the goal of creating a connecting road axis between Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang districts, connecting with Binh Phuoc province. Therefore, traffic connectivity with neighboring areas will be improved, exploiting and serving the travel and freight demands of the people, contributing to the socio-economic development of the two provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc in general, and the districts of Phu Giao, Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang in particular; to gradually complete the province's traffic infrastructure system according to the planning; at the same time to create new momentum for local economic growth.
Regarding the progress of the Ho Chi Minh - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, Phu Giao district has completed the landmark installation and is currently carrying out land acquisition.
Ready for the inauguration
Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces are located in the Southern Key Economic Zone. Due to natural conditions, the two provinces are separated by the Dong Nai River. In the past, traffic between the two localities mainly went through Dong Nai bridge (National Highway 1), Hoa An bridge (National Highway 1K), Thu Bien bridge and ferries. Following the socio-economic development trend of the two provinces, especially the two cities - the major administrative and economic centers of the two provinces, Thu Dau Mot and Bien Hoa, the above bridges cannot meet the rapidly increasing traffic demand between the two provinces in particular and the Southeast region in general.
The Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road project is expected to be inaugurated on September 23.
Mr. Tran Hung Viet, Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the construction of an additional bridge across the Dong Nai River will first of all facilitate travel for people in the two localities. Besides, transporting goods will be safer than going by ferry and shortening the journey if choosing the traffic direction via Hoa An bridge or Thu Bien bridge. At the same time, the completed project contributes to the complete development of the inter-regional road network in general and between Dong Nai province and Binh Duong province in particular. Bach Dang 2 Bridge project is invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project has a total investment of more than 818 billion VND; of which the approach road is worth more than 327 billion VND, the bridge is worth nearly 491 billion VND. Up to now, the project has been basically completed, ready for inauguration and put into use.
