Prioritizing implementation of circular economy to create new growth drivers

Provincial People's Committee has directed the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 222/QD-TTg dated January 23, 2025 regarding the National Action Plan for Circular Economy until 2035.

Accordingly, provincial Department of Planning and Investment is assigned to take the lead and collaborate with relevant units, based on the content of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 222/QD-TTg, to advise provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the plan.

The National Action Plan for the Circular Economy until 2035 outlines the following priorities: Prioritizing the implementation of a circular economy to create new growth drivers, enhance resilience and recovery capacity for the economy, create breakthroughs in development, promote the innovation of the growth model, improve quality, efficiency and competitiveness, create new value-added supply chains and harmonize the relationship between the economy and the environment. It also contributes to fulfilling international commitments on nature conservation, biodiversity, achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and sustainable development; promoting the proactive and creative role of enterprises, cooperatives, production, business and service establishments in applying the circular economy; considering the rights and benefits of consumers and citizens as driving forces for the development of the circular economy…The State plays a central role in establishing the institutional environment, policies, management organizations and regulation mechanisms to encourage the participation of economic sectors, local communities, agencies, organizations and individuals, based on market economy rules with the State’s regulation, in line with internationally recognized practices, principles, standards…
