Proactively preparing for green transition

In relation to green export standards in export markets, the Ministry of Industry and Trade affirms that Vietnam, with its inherent potential and advantages, is presented with numerous opportunities to become a crucial link in the global supply chain, especially in the field of exporting green and sustainable goods. Vietnam is actively promoting investment in renewable energy, cleaner production, digital economy and circular economy.

In Binh Duong, effectively adapting to sustainable standards is vital for enterprises. Seizing this opportunity not only helps enterprises meet export market requirements, but also enhances their position and contributes to realizing commitments toward global sustainable development goals, in line with the province's established roadmap. This transformation requires a comprehensive strategy, encompassing guidelines through mechanisms and incentive policies as well as proactive efforts by enterprises in investing and implementing green transition solutions.

Binh Duong provincial Wood Processing Association stated that compliance with green standards is mandatory for enterprises participating in export markets, especially the European Union market. In the coming time, enterprises must take a more proactive approach in understanding the requirements and regulations of the European Union. Additionally, they should give priority to mobilizing green financial resources and technologies. This will enhance their capacity in absorbing green finance and utilize green technologies to meet the demands of the energy transition toward a circular economy.

The business community in the province acknowledges that their green financial resources remain modest, making it challenging to promote green production. However, credit institutions emphasize that the key to advancing green finance lies in enterprises proactively developing green production and business roadmaps. When achieving green transformation, enterprises can unlock access to green loans and finance from both domestic and international sources.

Leaders of provincial Department of Industry and Trade stated that the agency will regularly raise businesses' awareness about new regulations and green finance, helping them position themselves in export markets to adapt and avoid being excluded in the current global green transition. Additionally, the industrial sector will collaborate with relevant sectors to deliver technical support programs and enhance capacity for compliance with new regulations for associations and enteprises. The Department will also continue supporting enterprises with carbon emissions auditing programs and providing tools for measurement, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.

For each industry and sector, provincial Department of Industry and Trade will design technical support programs to suit the specific needs of different enterprises. Effective implementing these technical programs will help enterprises comply with green standards, achieve sustainable development and manage energy consumption, particularly for enterprises in the industrial and trade sector, with a focus on export activities…With the Government's major policies and the action plans of various ministries and sectors, Binh Duong will provide effective support for exporters and enterprises impacted by new export market regulations in the coming time.
