On September 23rd, Department of Industry under Ministry of Industry and Trade held a summary ceremony of Production improvement program for Vietnamese enterprises in fields of supporting industries and producing finished products" in 2020 in Binh Duong province. Attending the program were representatives of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong province, Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon High-Tech Park, Samsung Group (Korea).
At the ceremony, Industry Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) assessed and visited the factory of CLF Plastics Company (Viet Huong Industrial Park 2, Ben Cat Town), Polymer Asia Technology Company (Vietnam - Singapore 2 Industrial Park, Tan Uyen Town) after the application of the production improvement program with the support of experts. Leaders of these enterprises appreciated the support of Vietnamese and Korean experts in implementing production improvement solutions, helping enterprises improve capacity and turn towards sustainable development.
This is a development program for supporting industries in period 2016-2025 in charge by Industry Department under the Government's Decision 68/QD-TTg to improve the production capacity of supporting industrial products for domestic production and export, participating in the global value chain. The program objective is that by 2020 supporting industrial products could meet about 45% of the domestic production demand, and by 2025 supporting industrial products could meet 65% of the domestic production demand.
On this occasion, localities also shared their experience in developing supporting industries.
