After more than two years of implementation, the expanded 7A street in Ben Cat town has just opened to traffic. The work is of great significance for socio-economic and urban development of Ben Cat town and neighboring localities.

The upgraded 7A street runs from Do bridge to Rach Bap three-way crossroads of 7,567 meters plus other lines to Phu Thu crossroads and An Lap crossroads belonging to An Dien junction with a total length of more than 8,518 meters. With six lanes, it allows vehicles of 10 tons to travel at 60 kilometers per hour and is sufficiently equipped with water drainage, verdure and lighting systems. Up to this time, its total expense is estimated at VND584.3bln from State budget.

According to Mr.Khanh, this is an East-West avenue connecting main streets like Highway No.13, DT748 street, DT744 street. It also plays an important role in Dau Tieng district and Ben Cat town’s socio-economic development; is of great significance for people in Ben Cat town in particular and the whole province’s traffic system in general…

Meanwhile, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem affirmed: “The upgraded 7A street bears a strategic role in urban development and socio-economic development between Ben Cat town and Dau Tieng district. It also contributes to promoting goods transportation between industrial parks An Tay, An Dien, Rach Bap and connecting My Phuoc township, an industrial-urban center of the town with historical relic sites, eco-tourist sites along Saigon river. Especially, An Tay port in the future will contribute to tapping existing potentials of An Dien, An Tay communes for socio-economic development in order to successfully realize the local target on new rural construction in the period of 2011 and 2015. The work also contributes to promoting South Ben Cat’s urban development in line with the development route of Binh Duong to become a centrally-controlled municipality by 2020”.
