As a province in the South Central Coast, Binh Dinh has a total natural area of 6,025 square kilometers; the population is over 1.5 million people, of which 53% of the working age population. Binh Dinh is a province with quite synchronous transportation system. In the province, there is National Highway 1A passing through and the North - South railway crossing the length of the province, National Highway 19 running in the direction of East - West, Phu Cat airport, and Quy Nhon seaport. With such a system of transportation, Binh Dinh is connected and easily accessible to the provinces of the Central Highlands, Northeast of Cambodia, and Southern Laos and Thailand. This is a great advantage that Binh Dinh has. However, due to many reasons, Binh Dinh in recent years can not exploit the advantages and potentials for economic development.

Meanwhile, for Binh Duong, despite its advantages in terms of infrastructure from Binh Dinh, is located in the southern key economic region, along with the right direction of generations of provincial leaders and consensus. The heart of the people has flourished in recent times. After more than 20 years of persistent innovation, Binh Duong from a poor province, mainly based on the central budget, has strengthened its role, becoming one of the country's major industrial and service centers. To date, Binh Duong has attracted a total of 3,037 FDI projects with a total registered investment of about US$ 28.47 billion, ranked second in the country after Ho Chi Minh City. Good investment attraction has promoted the development of the industry, trade – service, and so on.
Not only promote industrial development in the province, in recent years, Binh Duong, through the Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC), has also cooperated with and invested in developing provinces. Typical examples of them are VSIP in Bac Ninh, Nghe An, Hai Duong, Quang Ngai and Binh Phuoc. Binh Dinh is also an attractive destination after Becamex IDC has researched the potentials of industrial development in this locality. After many years of cooperation and careful study, Beacamex IDC has decided to invest in Becamex Binh Dinh IP in Canh Vinh commune, Van Canh district, Binh Dinh province. This is considered as a big mark for the new development of good relations between Binh Duong and Binh Dinh.
Becamex Binh Dinh - highlighted
Becamex Binh Dinh Industrial - Urban - Service complex is considered as a new development milestone of Binh Dinh province and is expected to be another successful project of Becamex IDC when investing outside the province. This complex is expected to be built on an area of about 2,308 hectares, with a total investment of about VND 9,000 billion, divided into two phases. The project is expected to be a center for integrated development of industry, urban, and dynamic services.
To prepare for the infrastructure of the project, Binh Dinh province is speeding up the investment route of the western province (DT639B street) with the investment capital of nearly VND 1,500 billion to connect the complex of Binh Dinh Becamex with Quy Nhon city.
In the recent meeting between leaders of two provinces, Ho Quoc Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh People's Committee said: "Up to now, the land clearance, clean land prioritized allocation for Becamex IDC is being implemented drastically. The good news is that the way we invest in connecting the complex with Quy Nhon has been completed and ready for use in March 2018. Both the political system of Binh Dinh Province has come to complete the issuance of investment certificates for Becamex IDC, creating favorable conditions for investors to operate.
Becamex IDC (the project investor) recently cooperated with the authorities of Binh Dinh Province to completely survey and measure (1/2000 industrial park A section 1) with an area of 1.425 ha, to serve the planning of zoning, as the basis for implementing the next steps. Becamex Binh Dinh has also been set up in Quy Nhon City to be ready to cooperate with Binh Dinh province to develop Becamex Binh Dinh Complex.

Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong Party Committee commented: "Over a year of signing cooperation in for 2017-2021 Binh Duong and Binh Dinh have achieved initial success. We are very confident in Becamex IDC and Binh Duong province leaders, not to invest but to make profit as the key development. The main problem here is that profits must come with the important issue of social development. How can the people here enjoy the fruits of the development of this complex? "
Binh Duong and Binh Dinh, two geographically separated locality but firmly connected and determined cooperative development. Certainly, with its potentials, advantages and rich experience in developing industry - urban – services, Binh Duong will help Binh Dinh successfully achieve its long-term goals. Thus, turning Binh Dinh into one of the major industrial centers of the Central, as the expectations and wishes of the generation of leaders and local people.
