Fifty years have passed, but the echoes of the Dau Tieng victory on March 13, 1975, still resonate. Inheriting and promoting the heroic traditions of their homeland, the Party Committee, government and people of Dau Tieng district have remained united, mobilizing all resources to focus on socio-economic development, continuously improving people's lives and building up a prosperous and civilized homeland.
“Celebrating the South’s Glorious Victories / Many localities Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Plây Me, Da Nang”. The name of Dau Tieng was honored in President Ho Chi Minh’s 1966 New Year greeting poem... Adding to the pride, on March 13, 1975, Dau Tieng became the first area in the province to be completely liberated, laying the foundation for the entire Party, people and army of the nation to achieve the final victory in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, reunifying the country.
Being brave in struggle, heroic in labor, right after peace was restored, the Party Committee, government and people of the district immediately set out to heal the wounds of war and rebuild their homeland. Under the hands, minds and spirit of solidarity of the heroic homeland's children, green has returned to the land that once bore the mark of so much pain of war...
Fifty years after liberation, especially after 26 years since the district’s re-establishment, Dau Tieng today is not only lush with vast rubber forests, but has also transformed into a modern, prosperous new-style rural district. The district’s socio-economic infrastructure has been comprehensively developed and the economic structure has shifted towards industry, agriculture, services and tourism. Compared to 1999, when the district was re-established, the total production value has increased 47 times and the local people’s per capita income has risen to VND 80.5 million, 25 times higher than the previous period. The district’s economic achievements have driven significant social progress. The district’s poverty rate has sharply declined while cultural, artistic and sports activities as well as job creation have received strong attention. The district’s education and training sector has made notable advancements and activities “paying debt of gratitude”, taking care of policy benefit families and revolutionary contributors and other social beneficiaries have been well implemented. The district’s political security and social order are firmly maintained and national defense and security remain strong.
Being proud of the revolutionary tradition in the resistance war and the achievements in the construction of the homeland, the Party, government and people of Dau Tieng will further unite, determine to develop the local economy and society more strongly, maintain national defense and security, build up a clean and strong Party Committee, deserving the tradition of the heroic district.
