Accordingly, Tan Thanh urban area is determined to include the entire administrative boundary of Tan Thanh town, Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province. The planning area is 2,688.21m2. The quadrilateral boundary is determined: The north borders Tan Dinh commune; the south borders Dat Cuoc commune; the east borders Dat Cuoc commune, Tan Dinh commune, Hieu Liem commune; the west borders Tan Lap commune. Direct research scope: The entire Tan Thanh town; the administrative boundary of Tan Thanh town includes 6 quarters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Expanded research scope includes neighboring communes of Bac Tan Uyen district.
Tan Thanh town is the administrative - economic - social center of Bac Tan Uyen district, oriented to become a service - industrial urban area with diverse types of services serving the urban area, supporting industrial development and tourism services combined with urban agricultural development.
By 2040, Tan Thanh urban area is expected to be a central urban area - service - industry - agriculture. Objective: Specify the orientation of the Bac Tan Uyen district regional planning and the contents of the provincial planning related to Tan Thanh urban area; determine the development orientations for Tan Thanh town as the center of the district, on the basis of maximizing the advantages and promoting the available potential, creating conditions to promote the urbanization process, develop the economy in a sustainable direction and improve the quality of life of residents. It is forecasted that the population of Tan Thanh town by 2030 will be about 36,000-45,000 people; by 2040, about 65,000-75,000 people. From now to 2030, Tan Thanh urban area will be built towards the criteria of a class-four urban area; from 2030 to 2040, the criteria of Bac Tan Uyen urban area will be improved to reach a class-four urban area, and Bac Tan Uyen town will be established. The People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district is responsible for preparing the overall adjustment project of the Tan Thanh urban master plan to 2040 in accordance with the approved tasks, ensuring current regulations and standards and in accordance with the construction planning of Bac Tan Uyen district to 2040 and the Binh Duong provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
