Under the local overall plan on socio-economic development to 2020 and vision to 2030, the province will focus on developing a synchronous trade-service infrastructure system; form up some new trade centers, supermarkets; build concentrated markets in communes, wards and townships. Binh Duong new city
In terms of trade-service, Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that the province will continue calling for making investment in this field; promote many forms on service and entertainment like supermarket, sports area…The province has actively removed obstacles in order to help large-scale projects on trade-service be implemented on schedule; boost activities on trade promotion, market control, prevention of smuggling, trade fraud to carry out the local policy on developing trade-service into a spearheading sector, creating a firm foundation for the local investment attraction in the new period.
According to him, the World Trade Centers Association has recognized the Binh Duong New City World Trade Center as its official member. This will bring the province opportunities for international trade, trade-service exchange and sci-tech transfer, contributing to promoting the local industrialization and modernization.

Dang Quang Viet, Director of Vietnamese-Japanese Mechatronics Company at Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc industrial park 3 said that his company decided to select Binh Duong for construction of a US$100 factory as the province has a good trade-service infrastructure system, meeting needs of the mechatronic sector. The province has also always accompanied enterprises together with a goods transportation system and favorable support services…
Whilst, Dr.Tran Du Lich said that Binh Duong has a favorable position in the center of belt streets of HCM city …with fast industrial development and potential services. Binh Duong New City is seen as a breakthrough of the province in enhancing the value of the local services. He hopes that Binh Duong will become an ideal destination for investors when the Binh Duong New City-HCM city metro line is implemented.
In the coming time, the province will boost the development of a sci-tech industrial park, aiming to support a project on Binh Duong smart city development. The province has also made efforts in building up a traffic system towards multimodal transportation..
Promoting trade-service projects not only brings the province a new image, is but also a highlight, contributing to fostering the Southern key economic zone towards industrial, urban and service connection.
According to provincial People’s Committee, the whole province in January, 2020 lured VND2,280billion in domestic capital and US$133million in FDI capital. Thus, the province has so far absorbed 42,269 domestic projects with total registered capital of more than VND357.68trillion and 3,753 FDI projects capitalized at US$34.23billion.
