Early November 14, Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received and worked with a business delegation from Italia’s Torino city. Attending the event were Fulvio Albano, Chairman of the Italy-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce; Roberto Cajati, Italy’s Deputy Consul General in HCM city; Sandra Scagliotti, Vietnam’s honorary Consul General in Torino; Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, representative of the Desk of Emilia-Romagna region in Binh Duong.

At the reception, Mr.Dung applauded the delegation’s visit and briefly informed the delegation of Binh Duong’s socio-economic development over the past time while speaking highly of initial cooperation results between the province and Italia’s Emilia-Romagna region. He also hoped that with Italian enterprises’ strong points plus cooperation agreements signed, Italia will create favorable conditions for the province to boost cooperation with Emilia-Romagna region in the coming time
Becamex IDC also signed a cooperation MOU with the trade association of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region and the Italy-Vietnam trade association. Accordingly, the sides will work together to promote trade and investment ties between Vietnamese and Italian enterprises. The MoU will also facilitate Italian enterprises’ trips to Binh Duong to explore business opportunities as well as joint research and experience sharing between Italian localities and Binh Duong.
On behalf of the Italian business delegation, Mr.Fulvio Albano expressed his hope that thanks to the MoU, the Emilia-Romagna region will serve as a window for Italian enterprises to understand more about Binh Duong. He also hoped that the MoU will boost economic exchanges between Italy in general and the Emilia-Romagna region in particular and Binh Duong.
