Provincial Market Control Department has boosted coordination with relevant agencies to carry out inspection tours against smuggling, trade fraud, fake and poor quality products before, during and after the Tet (Lunar) festival 2019.
Tightening control over market
As planned, provincial Market Control Department will intensify inspection tours over the manufacture, sale, storage and use of firecrackers and essential commodities for the Tet festival 2019 like poultry-cattle meat, alcohol, tobacco, confectionary, fruits…to stabilize the market while actively coordinating with functional agencies and localities to organize inter-sectorial inspection delegations against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
The Department has also advised provincial Steering Board for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods on promulgating a plan against smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods before, during and after the Tet festival 2019, aiming to opportunely discover and handle wrong cases.
Currently, market control teams of districts, towns and TDM city actively inspect over the manufacture and trade of illegally imported goods and banned ones. They also attach special importance to food safety and hygiene for essential commodities at supermarkets, plazas, markets and facilities trading in frozen food while monitoring and drastically handling cases violating laws on trade and price.

Tran Van Tung, Acting Chief of provincial Market Control Department said that the Department has made a plan on peak period to take synchronous solutions in order to enhance the effectiveness of monitoring over smuggling, trade fraud and fake commodities.
