In response to the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign, the Trade Promotion Center under provincial Department of Industry and Trade have just successfully organized 3 market-days of Vietnamese goods at industrial parks and compounds (IPCs) in Thuan An and Di An towns. This was also a chance for domestic producers to approach workers in the province.

Locals and workers at IPCs in Thuan An and Di An towns were very eager to buy goods at the market-days. Right when being opened, they absorbed hundreds of visitors. For rural people, this was a chance for them to purchase good-quality Vietnamese products, get access to promotional programs…

The market-days took place with the participation of 15 enterprises together with more than 40 booths. Most products on display had diversification in terms of design plus high quality; in which many were sold at prices lower than market levels. Besides, nearly all booths at the market-days offered discounts for their products together with many other attractive gifts.
Like others, Nguyen Thi Phuong, a worker of Everich Footwear Co.Ltd. in Di An ward’s Di An town said that she felt very satisfactory with Vietnamese goods sold at the market-days. Especially, their prices were 5%-10% lower than the same items on the market…
Phan Thanh Dung, Director of provincial Trade Promotion Center said that although only taking place within 3 days, the market-days of Vietnamese goods absorbed numerous locals and worker for shopping. This showed that locals’ awareness of giving priority to using Vietnamese goods has got higher and higher.
Domestic goods promoted
Units participating in the market-days of Vietnamese goods also prepared a large amount of goods, including processed food, garment products, household appliances, cosmetics…at locals’ demand for shopping. Nguyen Thanh Tu, representative of Co.opmart Binh Duong II said that his unit brought more than 200 essential commodities with the selling prices that were 5%-10% lower than market levels to the market-days, attracting numerous locals and workers for shopping.
Nguyen Hung Thanh, representative of Hung Thanh Tai Co.Ltd. said that the company was also present at the market-days with more than 500 products of blankets, pillows, drapes and offered a 25% discount for its products. Along with the patriotic spirit, one of the company’s biggest benefits from the market-days was that its trademark has been gradually affirmed and well-known in many places.
Other advantage was that participating units were subsidized 70% of costs on advertisement, power, water…from the local State budget. At the last market-days in Thuan An and Di An towns, they also presented 30 gifts to needy households and workers. This deed was highly appreciated by locals.
