Many economic targets with good results
Over the past 7 months, the province’s index of industrial production surged 9.1% compared to 2017. The figure in July grew by 7.1% and 15.8% compared to the previous month and the same period last year. Noticeably, processing and manufacture rose by 9.3%; production and distribution of electricity by 10.1%; water supply, waste and sewage treatment by 3.7%; mining by 7.4% compared to the corresponding period last year.

The whole province also absorbed US$905 US$ in FDI capital or 65% of the year’s plan and more than VND32.1trillion in domestic capital. The province’s trade surplus reached nearly US$2.9billion. The province’s State budget collection was VND29.5trillion, up 9% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, provincial People’s Committee instructed relevant agencies to improve the local investment climate, support startup businesses, prevent smuggling, trade fraud and set up flood and storm prevention methods, make the adjustment of land use plan till 2020…
Possibly speaking, provincial People’s Committee over the past 7 years made great efforts in directing comprehensive socio-economic development with economic targets fulfilled. This created the firm premise for the province to complete 2018’s plan.
Continuing well realizing the Government’s instruction
Along with economic growth, since early this year, the province has also well realized a task of “paying debt of gratitude”, ensuring social welfare. Particularly, the province excelled at “paying debt of gratitude” activities on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27). The province visited and presented gifts worth VND16.4billion to 39,772 revolutionary contributors; handed over 13 social houses to revolutionary contributors…
In July alone, the province offered jobs to 8,716 laborers. Thus, over the past 7 months, the province generated new jobs for 33,827 laborers or 74.3% of the year’s plan.
Such these apart, the province also well took solutions on ensuring food safety and hygiene; seriously organized the 2018 national high school graduation examination with the rate of graduation pupils at 96.72%; maintained national defence-security…
To achieve 2018’s plan, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee asked for sectors and authorities at all levels of the province to seriously carry out solutions, tasks for the remaining 6 months of the year under the instruction of the Governement, Prime Minister, provincial Party Committee and People’s Council. Moreover, the province will hold dialogues with businesses to help solve their obstacles and improve the local investment climate; closely carry out State budged spending and tighten control over credit quality, minimize bad debts; hasten the progress of construction of projects and capital disbursement for public investment…
