Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee has issued a document on policies to attract and support businesses, households and individuals producing lacquer in craft village areas. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Finance, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to study the recommendations of People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City in Official Dispatch No. 1974/UBND-VP dated April 17, 2025 to guide and support People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City in implementation; report and present proposals to the Provincial People's Committee to resolve difficulties and problems within its authority.
According to Document No. 1974/UBND-VP dated April 17, 2025, Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee proposed that Provincial People's Committee continue to direct departments and branches to support trade promotion programs, have plans to organize conferences, promotional exhibitions, and connect with domestic and foreign travel companies to bring tourists to visit and shop at craft village areas. On-site accommodation and recreation is required. The production area needs a specialized museum to preserve works, tools, utensils, and new creations of the quintessence of lacquer art from generations, and also to be a place to organize conferences, seminars, exchange experiences, demonstrate technical operations, introduce works, and provide information and documents to promote the traditional craft of lacquer.
To restore and develop the traditional lacquer craft, it is necessary to have a vocational training area for artisans and workers who are producing here. Coordinate with the Lacquer - Sculpture Association of Binh Duong province to introduce and nominate painters and Excellent Artisans (teachers who are members and are teaching lacquer) to oversee training according to the requirements of lacquer establishments and enterprises in the craft villages.
