Binh Duong province has so far had a total of 83 credit institutions, financial organizations and companies. These include 17 branches of state-controlled credit institutions, 38 branches of joint-stock credit institutions, 1 branch of a joint venture credit institution, 6 branches of wholly foreign-owned credit institutions, 1 branch of a foreign bank, 10 people's credit funds, 1 social policy bank, 1 regional development bank, 5 representative offices of financial companies, 1 branch of a financial company, and 2 branches of microfinancial organizations.
As of July 30, 2024, the total capital mobilized by these credit institutions, financial organizations and companies in the province was estimated at VND 314.486 trillion, an increase of 2.8% compared to the beginning of 2024. Of the total figure, deposits from economic organizations reached VND 164.773 trillion. Deposits from residents amounted to VND 145.789 trillion while the total outstanding loans stood at VND 340.573 trillion.
As of July 30, 2024, bad debts of credit institutions, financial institutions and companies in the province were estimated at VND 6,765 billion, accounting for 1.3% of total outstanding loans.
