Province is home to over 7,110 hectares of hi-tech agricultural land

The province has so far reached more than 7,110 hectares of farming land with hi-tech application, an increase of 2.6% with valuable crops such as vegetables, mushrooms, fruit trees, orchids, and ornamental plants. The province’s urban agricultural area has obtained 964 hectares, an increase of 2.6% with main crops such as hydroponic vegetables, sprouts, mushrooms, orchids and ornamental plants. Among the 580 hectares of organic crop production, 187 hectares have been certified for organic agriculture.

In addition, the province’s animal husbandry sector has continued developing. The whole province now has 148 farms investing in raising breeding chickens, egg-laying chickens and meat chickens with a total herd of over 8.1 million heads, accounting for 67% of the total herd. There are  260 farms raising high-quality pork and breeding pigs with a total herd of nearly 681,000 heads, accounting for 74% of the total herd. There are also 71 farms raising meat ducks with a total herd of 809,000 heads; 1 farm on dairy cows with a total herd of 458 heads.
