Since the 4th wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the province has strictly implemented appropriate measures against the pandemic, ensuring the lives of people and workers. With steadfastness in realizing the “dual goals”, the province has well controlled the pandemic, maintaining the local production and socio-economic development.

According to a report by provincial Statistics Office, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2021 increased by 7.23% over the same period last year. Of these, agriculture, forestry and fishery rose by 2.66%; industrial manufacturing and construction by 8.09%; services by 5.67% and products taxes less subsidies on production by 5.89%.
The province’s socio-economic situation continued achieving many important results. In the first 5 months of the year, the province’s index of industrial production, import-export turnover, and domestic investment attraction increased sharply compared to the same period last year. Especially, the province’s five-month State budget revenue was VND30.4trillion, up 15% over the same period or 52% of the estimate of provincial People's Council’s. Of these, domestic revenue was VND 22.4 trillion, up 9% against the same period last year or 52% of the estimate of provincial People's Council.
Along with economic development, the province has promoted activities to support businesses. The local tax sector is implementing the Government’s Decree No. 52/2021/ND-CP on extending payment of value added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax and land rent in 2021. Especially, determining the importance of ensuring safety for the local production and business activities, provincial leaders have directed functional sectors to strengthen inspection, supervision and guide enterprises to take measures against Covid-19 pademic, ensuring safety in production and business.

Amid the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, provincial leaders have requested all-level authorities, sectors and localities to absolutely not be subjective, negligent or irresponsible; fully and promptly take measures against the pandemic; resolutely handle violations under the regulations; proactively implement appropriate solutions to support those affected by the pandemic in the spirit of steadfastly implementing the "dual goals".
Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee has directed sectors and localities to continue closely following the developments of the pandemic in order to have strict, strong and synchronous solutions to curb the pandemic; try their best not to let the pandemic break out in enterprises, factories, industrial parks and compounds.
In the current situation, localities in the province are also focusing on Covid-19 prevention and prevention. Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People's Committee said that Covid-19 prevention and control in the current period is the most important task to continue maintaining socio-economic development. Agencies, units, communes and wards have continued focusing on directing and operating the implementation of the "dual goals". The town's People's Committee has required enterprises to complete, implement plans and scenarios against the pandemic at their units, which are close to reality and ensure regulations. “Along with promoting plans on inspection and guidance for localities, the town has also strengthened information management, encouraged enterprises to set their mind at rest in production. Especially, the town's People's Committee has directed functional sectors to promptly handle fake news, causing anxiety among workers at enterprises, leading to instability to the general situation of the locality," said Mr.Tuoi.
Thuan An city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control is currently focusing on promoting field work, determining the capacity of enterprises in pandemic prevention and control, ensuring security-order and essential supplies for zoning if the outbreak of the pandemic occurs. The city's health sector has coordinated with relevant units to set up a plan to take samples for Covid-19 testing in enterprises, promptly handling cases. According to leaders of the city’s People's Committee, it is determined that pandemic prevention and control may take a long time, so functional departments, communes and wards need to have high concentration, handle their work flexibly and quickly with the determination of stamping out the pandemic and maintain stability for socio-economic development.
Drastic and timely solutions of all-level authorities, sectors and localities in Covid-19 prevention and control have helped the local business community feel secure. Lin Jung Jen, General Director of Cheng Loong Binh Duong Paper Co., Ltd. in Ben Cat town said that Binh Duong now has a very good anti-Covid-19 campaign and is controlling the pandemic. Currently, the company is still organizing normal production with specific support solutions from the local administration.
