High economic growth
The province’s index of industrial production (IIP) in January 2019 surges 7.03% and 18.95% compared to the previous month and the same period of last year. Of these, mining industry grow by 15.62% while processing, manufacturing industry saw an increase of 18.95%. Production and distribution of power rose by 30.92%, supply and treatment of waste and sewage by 14.39%...
In terms of trade-services, province-based enterprises well realized their plans on stockpiling essential goods for Tet with a total value of VND 98.5billion under provincial price stabilization program 2019. Localities have also arranged markets and organized additional 128 points selling goods for Tet.
The province’s total retail sales revenue in January was estimated at more than VND18.97billion, up 6.1% and 14.3% against the previous month and the corresponding period last year. The price of essential commodities in the province remained stable. The province’s consumer price index decreased by 0.16% compared to the previous month and surged 2.14% over the same period last year.
Also in January, the province’s export turnover was estimated at more than VND2.45billion, up 14.9% and 13.2% compared to the previous month and the same period last year while import value was more than VND1.86billion, up 13.6% and 11.5% compared to the previous month and the same period last year. The province’s annual farming land for the winter-spring crop was 4.526 hectares, down by 1.2% compared to the same period last year. Whilst, the province’s animal husbandry sector remained stable, ensuring adequate supply of animal meat for people on the upcoming Tet festival. The province’s functional agencies have also tightened control over the slaughtering, transportation of animals and their products. In addition, provincial People’s Committee has paid attention to irrigation for agricultural production; carried out a plan against forest fire…
Regarding public investment, the province’s total value of capital disbursement as January 15, 2019 was more than VND5.98trillion or 74.9% of the plan. The province also instructed departments, sectors, localities and investors to concentrate on realizing 2019’s plan right from early the year; perfect procedures to build new works and hasten the progress of construction of the old ones.
The province’s State budget revenue in January was estimated at VND5.4trillion, up 6% compared to the same period last year while State spending was VND400billion, up 16% against the corresponding period last year. The province’s total capital mobilized was VND178trillion, up 5.87% and 0.49% compared to early the year and the previous month while total outstanding loans reached VND178trillion, up 16.27% and 0.5% compared to early the year and the previous month…
Tet care
The province is expected to spend VND221.24billion from the local State budget on taking Tet care for social policy beneficiaries and workers. In addition, the province will support 5,600 bus, train tickets for alien workers to return their hometowns for Tet; offer more than 390,000 gifts for workers with difficult circumstances. This is also the first time sectors and authorities at all levels of the province have mobilized organizations and individuals to give 300 plane tickets for young workers to come back their hometowns for Tet. In addition, the province has planed to organize activities in celebration of Tet for people, especially needy children and workers.
Such these apart, the province has intensified measures on stabilizing labor relations; disseminated a new regulation of the region-based minimum wages for laborers among more than 1,000 enterprises. The province’s functional agencies have also been ordered to grasp the situation of Tet wages and bonuses for laborers at enterprises; opportunely deal with strikes…As of now, many enterprises in the province have announced their Tet bonuses for laborer with the average level of VND6.8million per person.
In January, the province’s sector of education and training also bent on partially reviewing the result of the first term of the 2018-2019 academic year of all levels; hastened the progress of construction of schools to be able to put them into operation on schedule; check and recognize 129 education facilities as ones meeting educational quality standards…In terms of healthcare, the province also well ensured public healthcare; implemented solutions against diseases…
Speaking at the session, Mr.Liem stressed that sectors, localities need to follow hard on the plan of provincial People’s Committee and the local real situation to be able to well realize targets on socio-economic development for 2019. Initially, they need to seriously carry out central and provincial instructions in the organization of activities in celebration of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019; ensure supply of Tet goods, tighten control over the market; guarantee traffic safety and people’s demand for traveling on Tet; pay attention to taking Tet care of poor and policy beneficiary people…
