Early October 10, a delegation of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), led by Tran Viet Thanh-Deputy Minister of Science and Technology made an inspection tour of the province’s personnel and State budget allocation for science and technology in the 2012-2014 period. Vo Van Minh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received the delegation.
The whole province is now home to 29 sci-tech organizations licensed by provincial Department of Science and Technology (DoST), including 7 State-run organizations and 22 non-State ones. As of September 2014, there were 4 enterprises in science and technology and 25,503 staff in this field reported in the province. Sci-tech advancements applied into operation over the past time helped the province raise productivity, products’ quality, minimize environmental pollution and improve the effectiveness of activities against diseases…
Mr.Thanh spoke highly of achievements done by the province in the field of science and technology while suggesting provincial DoST to closely coordinate with units of the MoST to deal with existing problems. He also reminded the province to pay attention to training hi-quality human resources; effectively use State budget allocated for the local science and technology sector to better uphold its role in socio-economic development.
